SMALL MUSEUM
OF THE GREAT VIRTUES

The human being is driven by big questions: who am I? Where did I come from? Where I go? Asking questions, often without exact answers, is an art that made it possible for human beings to transform themselves and transform reality.

One of the most important human inquiries is about the meaning of human action. In other words: what is the meaning of life. According to Aristotle, Greek thinker of the fourth century BC, the human being is a rational being that exists with a purpose: happiness. For that, he needs to use rationality in search of great principles that help him to guide his life in search of his place.

The theme of our museum comes into play: virtue . According to the Greek thinker, virtue is the permanent disposition of character to want the good, which presupposes the courage to assume the chosen values and face the obstacles that make action difficult.

The proposal of our Small Museum is to present some of the great virtues of the book Pequeno Treatise of the Great Virtues , by André Comte-Sponville in the context of the social revolts of the First Republic. Starting from a virtue, each group of 9th Grade EF students developed an artistic production, inspired by the style of a modernist artist.

We invite you to browse the museum rooms, allowing yourself to be guided by the audio guides produced by the students. Nice virtual tour!
